Tip of the day: when buying textbooks used, they may show signs of 'wear' or 'use'. Or 'markings' which identify that the book was previously owned by someone else. Do not be alarmed, these phenomena are considered normal and may even indicate that the book in question could actually be useful for something. Use of a book in such condition will not degrade your social status, ruin your learning experience, or rip open holes to other dimensions thereby permitting paranormal beings to slowly feed on your happiness while you dream about little fluffy clouds.

But most of all: please don't act all irrational and angry and viciously demand a refund. It's really annoying.

I assume you sold a book online? And that you commented on it having been used, maybe even going so far to say there are signs of wear? So what the hell are they expecting? I just ordered a whole bunch of textbooks online, most of them used and possibly marked, so unless I find there is not an uninked space in the entire book or it complete interferes with reading the text, it's within my expectations. In other words: I READ THE COMMENTS.

I empathize. Stupid people.
