for some reason the expression 'hit the cell' has been bothering me for a bit. Whats wrong with the word 'call'? sure theres one more letter in it but it makes more sense than 'hit'. I will not be 'hitting' any 'cell' anytime soon, that might suprise people (as they see someone's fist coming toward their ear), and possibly hurt a bit if it broke into many sharp plastic pieces. now if someone were to say something like 'hit the gmail yo' thats a bit harder to translate into a literal situation, but still sounds pretty stupid.
