(no subject)

It really bothers me for some reason when I see books that reference text that is apparently 'ABOVE' or 'BELOW' despite the fact that it's a book, making it actually left or right. No one ever says "which will be described in the pages to the right". Something like 'follow' makes more sense, but it seems like most authors have forgotten that what they see on their screen isn't how most readers will end up viewing it.
I always try to catch myself when I'm writing and about to do that. Unless something on the same page is being referenced.
