the Rock Band microphone was definitely not designed to handle the kind of SPL generated by trying to sing into a microphone when it is less than 2" away from the user's mouth. Definitely sounds like mostly distortion from the next room... Here's to hoping that 3rd party peripherals will actually be at least kinda decent.
