May. 10th, 2008 02:28 amAh! REC was so much better than what I thought it would be! You could screw up a short romantic comedy about voice acting in a million ways, but really it was pretty good. One of the good things is that it was short (9 12 minute episodes), and doesn't give you enough time to actually starting becoming frustrated with the characters. But I tend to enjoy this kind of romantic comedy quite a bit... and wish that it had been longer anyway. Oh well, I know what it would have turned into, despite having started unconventionally. But having watched (and somewhat enjoyed) long (and somewhat repetitive) series of a similar sort like Maison Ikkoku and Kimagure... well I know I'd still probably watch it even if it was 100 episodes. Oh well. Was something good to watch in one night for sure.
Finished Fate/Stay too.
Repairing electronics using magic would be awesome.
Eg.: "If I don't reinforce this capacitor, this motherboard will fail soon!"
*Trace on!*
"Ahh ok should be good for now"
Totally would have been useful when all my KT266 and KT333 motherboards were popping capacitors.
In other news, lots of work. Others are experiencing a similar feeling right now. Others are also not doing said work right now. I found out that the subwoofer the people downstairs have is actually a JBL Creature II system. which means... if I can feel that sub from up here...... how does my sub (with an amp about 30x more powerful) sound from down there??? and the drums??? Actually they seem cool about the drums, last week one of them came up here (because I was practicing a bit while they were having a party) and we played sweet child of mine for a few minutes (after he spent like 10 minutes attempting to tune Stec's guitar, which hasn't ever actually been tuned).
