(no subject)

since I dont write much in here I might as well say this while I'm thinking about it. First of all the valentines day mystery showing was kimi ga nozoumu eien, to which all i can say is don't let your boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other wait for you in places where they can be hit by moving vehicles, as it can complicate things... and so on the way back from that I was sort of trying to rationalize why I like anime as with my sort of paranoia I constantly feel like everyone I know that used to like it doesnt anymore and thus I start doubting things etc, so I felt the need to try to explain to myself why I do the things I do.. Especially because it was something that I picked up very much due to outside influence, although I maintain that I would have become interested eventually anyway, and would have been in the same situation, and I am glad that it worked out the way it did. But anyway, I concluded that there is no reason why I shouldn't like it, it has no bearing on my level of 'maturity', and shouldn't be age specific, as a visual art medium as a whole shouldn't have those connotations despite what many people might think. I also feel its the only way I can really experience 'suspension of disbelief' for many reasons, mainly because its often more in depth, offers longer contact with a story, and is less similar to this reality and thus I don't feel like I have to be critical of every inaccuracy like I usually am with live action movies. And you can simply do things that you can't do in live action without things looking cheesy.. so I will continue to do what I do, despite any attempted outside influence, and hopefully jessie is with me on this? even if she were to not always like it as much thats ok... but I dont think that will be the case. Actually, one of the physics professors here comes to club, and club events, and checks things out of the library, even though he's like 60 and suppossedly his wife doesn't like it ^_^
