ok so today on the RIT DC hub Slat (who is the guy who runs the hub) announced that he actually got an ipod from the whole freeipods.com thing.. and wired had an article on them a few weeks ago that pretty much cleared up if it was a scam or not (and its actually not surpisingly) so Im like ah heck ill try it.. since theyre backlogged up the wazoo for the free ipods i went to freeflatscreens.com because they probably dont have as many orders to process, and heck theyre worth more than an Ipod. slate then put my referral link in the hub forum since i think i was probably the first one to register with his refferal link and complete the offer so hopefully I'll get 8 people to complete... 1 already did, need 7 more now. update 2 completed need 6 more. hopefully this will actually work that'd be pretty neat.. im not planning on getting anything yet but hey im not losing anything either way. for the offer i did the 'ancestry.com 14 day trial' because it was instant.. after the 14 day trial they said if i dont cancel after the 14 days theyd automatically charge $200 to my card for a year subscription but you can cancel before the trial is over.. and it is a real company with a real 1800 number (was kind of suprised about that) so i called and asked if they could make it so that after the trial it would just cancel and not charge anything.. would have felt guilty just asking for them to straight out cancel it since actually some of the info on the site is kind of neat, i think i found the 1930 census records for one of my aunts... anyway sorry about the long and mostly uninteresting post probably.. anyway if anyone is interested.... http://www.FreeFlatScreens.com/default.aspx?referer=9757203 :) would be great if they had like freerolandvdrums.com but alas...
