for all the FFD groupies out there yesterday I registered fivefeetdeep.com for the amazing sum of $8.50!!! so that works now.. if you goto the site, ignore the 'flash' link for now, as thats a serious work in progress that will onvolve me having to learn alot more stuff in flash before I create something useful. All thats there right now is what should be a loading bar that just loads a randomly selected picture from what ive taken with my digicam, which right now is just a picture of a few leaves in jessie's yard... of course for some reason it seems to be loading the whole thing before displaying it so you really dont even see the loading bar you wait around for a bit, see something flash and then see a pixelly closeup of some vegetation, all while wondering 'WTF?' I thought I'd try getting a load bar to work first and then advance with the rest of the site since ive consistently wondered about how people make load bars in flash. oh well, ive posted questions in a few forums and ill get a site up at some point, given the time to work on it. the load bar thing works on here in flash in the download simulator thing so it doesnt seem to be an issue with the actionscript.
