hi y'all! thursday night hopefully im going to take my streaming media experiment (SME) mobile to the anime club meeting and it shall become the Mobile Streaming Media Experiment (MSME)just kind of a test to see if the network architecture here for the wireless access points is similar to that which connects the dorms.. as in since i can actually host stuff from here and resolve directly to this IP address from outside I'd like to see if I can do that with my roaming account as well. So yeah i guess i'll see about that tommorrow... just gonna bring my webcam and see what i can get and if it works we'll have a wonderful 10fps at 320x240 and audio.. tommorrow theres going to be the second raffle of the year and the usual music videos and 4 episodes of 'scrapped princess' which has a bad name but i read the plot and it sounds interesting. so yeah hopfully ill be there and if it works out you'll be able to be there to but virtually and on a 10 second delay.. if anyone has an apple iSight lying around one of those would be nice since theyre prettier and have a higher resolution and faster (firewire). ok sleep its almost 1 but sean is watching blue gender on adult swim and i have a chemistry test at 8am and then class straight through until 4 i like run on sentences w00t.

hello all my little experiment tonight went quite well.. got a few people to connect while i was streaming live video (15fps, 320x240) and audio from tonights anime club meeting (meeting, showing same thing) and it seemed to work pretty well.. cant expect an incredible amount for an $18 camera but its all I have for now. So yeah now i can stream audio and video to anyone with windows media player (for now) anywhere in this place with a wireless access point (which is every building ive been so far) and I could probably get access from outside a few buildings but obviously not too far so if anyone wants anything streamed from here (or i can also record to the computer and send later) then just ask.. i know that seems fairly odd-sounding but this is fun so i had to say that. it seems like im the only one who really cares about this but oh well.. eventually im going to put together a much better streaming setup i.e. from a set address with multiple stream sources.. i think its fun and interesting and the software im using is legally free so it's just fun. also pictures from the rafting trip I went on a few weeks ago.. http://www.rit.edu/~cabwww/photo.php3 theyre the ones on the top of the page to the right (at the moment) i'm easy to pick out in the photos.. probably too easy.. bright blue jacket.. all of us had the ugly wetsuits but for some reason it stands out on me.. some people will probably find it relatively funny :)
